Kohler Midsummer Festival

We had a wonderful time at the Kohler Festival.  We visited with old friends and made new ones.   The heat & humidity were high -so when haven’t they been this summer?

Set-up was completed Friday afternoon, after which we went to Kohler-Andrae to set up our campsite.  We do love setting up tents!  Thanks Dan and Ann for the wonderful meal and relaxing time at your get-away place on Friday evening.

We love doing this show and also the way the artists are taken care.  Thanks to all the staff and volunteers for all they did to make the artists feel welcome.

After the show’s whirlwind (or more specifically tornado warning) finish on Sunday afternoon we were able to spend the next three days relaxing at our favorite state park -Kohler Andrae.

Before leaving the area we stopped at our new find for fabric and picked up some wonderful batiks.  This gem is in Sheboygan Falls and goes by the name of Magpie’s Cottage.  We recommend them highly!  Thought we’d try some new, brighter colors for our necklace cording.  We’ll be displaying some at the Morning Glory Fine Craft Fair in Milwaukee next weekend (Aug.14 & 15).  Hope to see you there.

Summer festivals have started

The art festivals have started for us. The first was the Cambridge Potter’s Festival and we had a great time.

The first show is always interesting, trying to make sure that we are prepared for what ever comes our way.  The rain went around us for the most part and it was a pleasent couple of days.  The photo’s are from the potter’s festival and are of the newest work that I have been doing.

The next show will the Midsummer Festival of Arts at the Kohler Art Center in Sheboygan, WI, July17th & 18th
